About:
Ask the Seal LLC was founded in Clearwater Florida by a former owner of a large home services company that performed criminal background checks on every job applicant. Our founder was appalled to see applicants drive up in reputable competitor’s trucks who had felony convictions for things such as Grand Theft, Strong Arm Robbery, Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Rape and Drug Trafficking. One of these competitors actually stated in an advertisement that they performed criminal checks on every employee. These companies were actually sending these dangerous felons into people’s homes. At the same time this was happening, our founder noticed news stories regarding crimes committed by home service people seemed to be increasing. With the onset of difficult economic conditions, things seemed to be spiraling out of control.
Our founder sold his share of the company and embarked on a mission to educate and assist consumers. Not willing to take a contractor’s word for it, he developed a system to inspect company and employee credentials. While this or no other program can 100% guarantee your safety or ultimate satisfaction, we believe this greatly increases your odds of being satisfied and safe. We hope you enjoy and appreciate this free consumer service and we welcome your comments and ideas on how to improve our service.
